Hitachi ID sees record revenue from identity and access management sales

Hitachi ID has reported significant revenue growth for the year ending March 31, 2015.

The high sales can be attributed to several very large deals Hitachi ID closed in FY2014, including two separate contracts involving a consumer health care firm and a CPG company, whose names Hitachi did not disclose.

“Our channel program is producing extraordinary results both in North America and EMEA,” said Gideon Shoham, CEO of Hitachi ID Systems. “In FY 2014 we closed large deals with several global multi-billion dollar companies such as one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical and consumer health care companies, one of the world’s largest consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies and numerous global financial services organizations.”

The global consumer health care firm purchased Hitachi ID’s Identity Management Suite to manage access to enterprise systems for more than 140,000 internal users.

Additionally, the CPG company now uses the Hitachi IDM Suite to manage identity and access management for over 100,000 users.

Hitachi ID’s identity and access and privileged access management solutions are recommended by leading industry analysts to large organizations as they tend to outperform large platform vendors while offering much lower ROI.

The company’s Identity and Access Management Suite, version 9.0 offers many improvements regarding identity and access and privileged access management solutions, including Hitachi ID Mobile Access support for Android and iOS.

Hitachi ID will present these new features at a number of conferences this year, including RSA, Infosec Europe and the Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit.
