Lava Group CEO named one of Northern Ireland’s top business people under 40

Gareth Morrison, CEO of Lava Group, has been named one of Northern Ireland’s top business people under 40 in the March issue of Business First magazine.

Lava Group develops software and innovative technologies for the criminal justice market including integrating biometric technologies into access control and other security applications.

The magazine article notes that, under Morrison’s leadership, “the Lava Group is embarking a successful growth strategy, diversifying into new sectors including connect health and targeting export markets such as Canada and Australia”. Lava Group has increased its staff by 50% since 2014.

Last June, Lava Group won a £500k contract to install a biometric security solution at a new prison being built in Cork, Ireland.

Morrison was recently appointed to the Connected Health Innovation Center (CHIC) and is leading a partnership between the Center and Lava Group.
