EAB presenting Biometrics in Payments session at European Payment Summit

The European Association for Biometrics (EAB) will be presenting a ‘Biometrics in Payments’ session at the European Payment Summit (EPS) on Wednesday, March 8, 2017.

The session, moderated by EAB co-founder and Secretary Max Snijder, will provide an up-to-date briefing on developments and trends of biometric applications in financial markets and the transaction space. Onegini and UL TS BV will join the panel discussion.

The European Payment Summit (EPS) offers a two day program featuring key developments for and by professionals in the payments and transaction space combined with key sessions on international security and fraud in collaboration with the Hague Security Delta (HSD). These two program sections will be programmed in parallel to enable delegates to switch and select key sessions to attend.

HSD is the largest security cluster in Europe where institutions work together on innovations and knowledge in the field of cyber security, national and urban security, protection of critical infrastructure, and forensics.

Last October’s “Biometrics in Payments” seminar saw more than 14 financial institutions participate, including Mastercard, Lloyds Banking Group, Tesco Bank, Vanquis Bank, Citibank, Visa, Financial Fraud Action UK, Allied Irish Bank, LBG, TSB Bank, Virgin Money, C. Hoare & Co, Commerzbank AG and Santander.
