Veridium showcasing enterprise biometric solutions at connect:ID

Veridium is demonstrating the latest features of its enterprise biometric solutions at connect:ID 2017, being held this week in Washington D.C.

The company says the new updates to its biometric solutions improve enterprise security as well as increases convenience and productivity at a lower total cost of ownership to the customer.

Verdium is showcasing VeridiumID, 4 Fingers TouchlessID and VerdiumAD.

VeridiumID is a server-side protocol for biometric authentication that works in concert with a front-end SDK to allow companies to embed biometrics into a mobile application.

The solution’s new features include security assertion markup language, a standard for the authentication and authorization exchange between services to achieve single sign on (SSO) across multiple platforms.

The update allows VeridiumID to be used as an identity provider, enabling SSO to any third-party SAML enabled service while offering the improved security of biometric authentication.

Transaction signing ensures legal non-repudiation by verifying the integrity of online transactions to ensure each request is tamper evident. The feature generates a secure digital signature that adheres to government and compliance standards and regulations.

The solution’s server-side matching feature enables biometric matching to be performed on either client or server side to combat increased hacking attacks on mobile devices.

The user behavior analysis capability creates a repository within VeridiumID to capture a range of data including GPS, IP address, gyroscope, accelerometer and magnetometer, from the mobile device to help profile ‘normal’ user behavior.

Verdium has added a ‘liveness detection’ feature to its 4 Fingers TouchlessID, enabling organizations to distinguish between real people and static images. The feature provides an increased level of security by making spoofing more difficult.

The Citrix-ready VeridiumAD is a primary authenticator that delivers password-free biometric authentication, supporting Windows clients and Windows Server for physical and virtual machines connected to Microsoft Active Directory.

Launched in February, VeridiumAD is the first software-only solution that seamlessly integrates into Citrix Storefront and Citrix NetScaler environments.
