CLEAR now open for business at LAX

Biometric identity membership platform CLEAR is now open for business at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

CLEAR will be available in all terminals at LAX, moving travelers quickly through security with the touch of a finger or blink of an eye. The launch at LAX expands CLEAR’s nationwide footprint to 22 airports and six stadiums nationwide.

“We are thrilled to bring CLEAR to travelers at LAX. We have no doubt the VIP CLEAR experience will resonate with Los Angeles consumers and we couldn’t be more excited to offer another place for our loyal members to use CLEAR,” commented CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker.

“With CLEAR as an added benefit at LAX, we continue to improve the LAX guest experience by offering choices that help travelers save time,” said LAWA Chief Executive Officer Deborah Flint. “They will benefit from the freedom to enjoy shopping, dining options, as well as other guests amenities beyond security screening.”

CLEAR claims more than one million members and is certified as a Qualified Anti-terrorism Technology by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. CLEAR’s three-step sign-up process takes less than five minutes – CLEAR digitally authenticates your driver’s license or passport, confirms your identity, and then creates your biometric account.

Earlier this month CLEAR was issued a Notice of Allowance for a U.S. patent application relating to its biometrics-based boarding pass technologies.
