Innovatrics and New Imaging Technologies developing turnkey solutions

New Imaging Technologies and Innovatrics have partnered to develop turnkey hardware and software solutions for face recognition and fingerprint matching.

The companies expect this partnership will help meet the needs for embedded biometrics in emerging markets, like IoT, as well as more mature but growing markets such as mobile devices.

The face recognition solution, expected in the second quarter of the year, will combine NIT high dynamic range sensors and Innovatrics’ IFace facial biometric software in a plug and play system for OEMs or evaluation purpose. This joint development will include a 3D anti-spoofing feature.

The fingerprint matching solution, expected in the last half of the year, will see NIT’s patented optical fingerprint sensor design integrated with Innovatrics matching algorithm, which was ranked first in accuracy in the recently published results of the Proprietary Fingerprint Template Evaluation II (PFT II).

“We are very pleased to partner with New Imaging Technologies,” commented Jan Lunter, CEO of Innovatrics. “This is another important step in our strategy to deliver industry-leading biometric technology, including embedded solutions, to customers and partners around the world.”
