DERMALOG showcasing border control solutions at European Police Congress

DERMALOG is presenting its biometric recognition systems for airports and border controls this week at the 21st European Police Congress in Berlin.

According to a company statement, twelve states including Singapore, Malaysia, Maldives, Cambodia, Algeria and Brunei have deployed DERMALOG’s solutions to monitor national borders. As well, the company’s fingerprint scanners are in use at German airports and at border crossings in Switzerland and the Netherlands.

The DERMALOG ABIS (Automated Biometric Identification System) is at the core of the DERMALOG solution. The multimodal system matches fingerprints and additional biometric features such as facial or iris patterns.

Developed for border control at airports, the fully automated DERMALOG Self Registration Kiosk and the DERMALOG Gate are equipped with the latest camera and scanner technology. The portfolio is complemented by video surveillance systems with integrated face recognition. The German biometrics solutions provider says this technology can also be integrated in drones.
