Entrust Datacard has joined the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), bringing its expertise in trusted identities and transactions to the organization’s mission of defining and raising awareness of best practices for secure cloud computing.

“CSA is a leader in driving thought leadership across the security industry — not just in cloud-based architectures and concepts — but in emerging technologies such as IoT, blockchain and quantum-safe solutions,” says Josh Jabs, VP Office of the CTO, and General Manager of IoT at Entrust Datacard. “We look forward to engaging with CSA members and bringing our long-time leadership in identity and specialized expertise in IoT and other emerging areas to various working group efforts.”

Entrust Datacard has launched two cloud-based services in the last year; the IntelliTrust Authentication Service and the ioTrust Security Solution, which establishes a secure connected ecosystem throughout the IoT lifecycle.

“We’re excited to welcome Entrust Datacard to the Cloud Security Alliance. Over the years, Entrust Datacard has been a leader in secure identities, and their recent work has demonstrated an innovative mindset and drive to leverage emerging technologies to better enable their customers,” says Jim Reavis, CEO of the Cloud Security Alliance.

The company also joined the FIDO Alliance in November, and more recently IntelliTrust was selected to secure access to Vipsnet’s cloud-based educational software.
