Precise Biometrics delivering Tactivo units to partners

Thursby Software Systems and an additional recognized partner have together placed orders for over 1,000 Tactivo units from Precise Biometrics for delivery by the end of the 2012. These initial orders underscore the market potential for the Tactivo product line.

“We are thrilled to see leading solution providers partnering with us and starting to place orders in anticipation of meeting their customers’ needs for Tactivo,” said Thomas Marschall, President and CEO of Precise Biometrics. “It has been exciting to join forces with Thursby Software and to create a new bundled solution“.

Precise Biometrics’ bundled solution works with Thursby’s PKard Reader app. The Tactivo/PKard Reader bundle offering will create significant value to U.S. federal agencies seeking to provide their employees with convenient and secure Web browsing on mobile devices.

Tactivo enhances the software applications provided by partners like Thursby through enabling increased mobile security by adding authentication using smart cards, fingerprint biometrics, or both, for the iPhone and iPad.

Designed as a sleek smart case, Tactivo maintains access to iPhone and iPad buttons and connectors, including the ability to charge and synchronize the phone or tablet without removing the case, while providing a smart card and fingerprint reader capabilities with strong authentication.

“The market for smart card readers linked to mobile devices is at its infancy stage and customers are looking for multiple options in terms of pricing and form factors,” said William Thursby, President of Thursby Software Systems, Inc. “Precise Biometrics has created an outstanding option for iOS mobile devices and we are delighted to partner with them in that segment of the market. By working together in putting together the bundle solution, we have created a breakthrough solution that has no equivalent in the market place. As part of our joint marketing efforts, we are looking forward to play our part in accelerating the market adoption for the Tactivo/PKard bundle across our established customer base. ”
