European Biometrics Research and Industry Awards 2013 applications open

The European Association for Biometrics (EAB) has announced its seventh European Biometrics Research and Industry Award 2013.

These prestigious, annual awards are given to individuals judged by a panel of internationally respected experts to be making a significant contribution to the field of biometrics research in Europe.

Applicants must submit a research paper by May 31, 2013 of no more than six pages, and these will be reviewed by a jury of internationally recognized experts in the field of biometrics. Self-nominations are accepted.

Shortlisted candidates will present their papers to the jury, EAB members and the public audience on September 4, 2013 during the European Association for Biometric scientific symposium in Darmstadt, Germany. All shortlisted candidates will be awarded with a one year EAB membership free of charge.

The winner of the European Biometric Research Award 2013 will receive a commemorative medal and a 2000 € honorarium.

More information on the application process can be found on the EAB website.
