Biometrics Institute announces seminar on combatting fraud in financial services

The Biometrics Institute has announced a seminar on combatting fraud in financial services, set to take place June 26, 2013.

The seminar, hosted by Unisys will be held on the day prior to the Technology Showcase Europe 2013 event, which will be held at the Royal Bank of Scotland in London.

According to the company, this seminar represents a unique opportunity to engage in a discussion around the various roles biometrics could, or even should play in financial services. During the course of the seminar, insights into the opportunities and challenges faced by financial services as they look to combat fraud will be presented, and also how biometrics can fit into this broader objective.

Speaking at this event will be Katy Worobec, Head of Fraud Control, from the Financial Fraud Action UK.

Registration for this event is now open. Biometrics Institute members pay US $152 (GBP 100) and non-members pay US $417 (GBP 275). Seats at this seminar are limited and preference will be given to organizations with an active involvement in the financial services sector.

Reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, the institute has also recently confirmed its full conference agenda for the June 27, 2013 Technology Showcase Europe event.
