Accenture picks Mount Airey Group as “Small Business of the Year”
Accenture Federal Services has announced Mount Airey Group as the recipient of Accenture’s inaugural Small Business of the Year award.
According to the company, Mount Airey Group is a small business administration 8a company specializing in identity management and authorization solutions and was selected for its work on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s US-VISIT program.
US-VISIT, now overseen by the Office of Biometric Identity Management, is a biometric and biographic identity management system that helps determine is travelers can legally enter or remain in the United States. As Accenture’s subcontractor on US-VISIT, Mount Airey Group plays an integral role in the successful delivery of a number of high-level projects.
“Mount Airey Group brings the highest caliber resources and overall professionalism to this critical identity management program,” said David Moskovitz, CEO of Accenture Federal Services. “Their tremendous sense of collaboration contributes directly to the ongoing success of this program.”
Accenture Federal Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of Accenture.
Reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, Accenture was recently awarded a year-long contract from the Punjab Government for technology and management consulting services to reengineer and implement the way beneficiary programs in Punjab are implemented under the Aadhaar program.
Also, in February, the European Commission Directorate General for Home Affairs has awarded a consortium of Accenture, Morpho andHP a contract to maintain the European Visa Information System. The contract is for three years with a possible one-year extension, with a maximum value of US$93 million.
