NXT-ID inks distribution agreement for 3D facial recognition with Voice of Big Data

NXT-ID has announced an agreement with Voice of Big Data, an Indian and American-owned company, to distribute the company’s 3D FaceMatch facial recognition systems in India.

According to the company, 3D FaceMatch will be added to Voice of Big Data’s existing facial signature product line as part of its security and intelligence division. Voice of Big Data plans to target retail markets, law enforcement, government as well as product development centers.

“Clearly, this is another milestone in our history as we continue to make solid progress as we implement our growth strategy. We are delighted to be partnering with VOBD in such an exciting developing market,” Gino Pereira, CEO of NXT-ID said. “India is at the forefront of the biometric revolution and with our combined expertise in 3D facial recognition and the ability to analyze large amounts of data very quickly I believe we can contribute substantially to biometric adoption here.”

NXT-ID also recently announced a pilot program with the Palm Bay, FL Police Department to evaluate the FaceMatch product.

3D-ID, the subsidiary of NXT-ID that produces FaceMatch was acquired by NXT-ID for an undisclosed amount last year.

Earlier this month, NXT-ID announced a patent application for a digital wallet technology, called the Wocket. According to the company, this biometric wallet uses biometrics to copy information into or out of the secure vault wallet device and on to a programmable magnetic stripe “NXTCard.”
