ImageWare to demo biometric cloud ID management platform at Retail Federation expo

ImageWare Systems has announced that it will showcase its new cloud identity management platform – GoMobile Interactive – the National Retail Federation 103rd Annual Convention & Expo.

The event is set to be held in New York City on January 13-14, 2014.

Specifically, GoMobile Interactive is a cloud-based multi-modal biometric mobile identity management platform, built on the company’s IWS Biometric Engine that enables message based identity verification for mobile banking and mobile wallet applications. As for biometrics, GMI brings voice, face, palm, finger and iris recognition capabilities.

“In 2012, the United States saw more than 12 million identity fraud victims at a dollar cost of $21 billion, with the average financial loss per identity theft totaling $4,930,” Jim Miller, chairman and CEO of ImageWare Systems said. “Worldwide mobile payments are expected to become a $400 billion market by 2015 and retail businesses will be at the forefront to protect themselves and their consumers. We are pleased to demonstrate such an important service and technology at Retail’s BIG Show with the IT security industry’s most reliable form of identity theft protection for accessing their gateway accounts via desktop and mobile devices.”

ImageWare’s IWS Biometric Engine is a SOA-based server platform for biometric data process and management with ESB connectivity.

“Gartner’s estimate of 30% enterprise adoption for biometrics as the authentication standard by 2016 presents a huge opportunity for ImageWare in the projected $400 billion dollar market place estimated for mobile payments by 2015,” Miller said.

Reported previously, ImageWare recently announced a partnership with Global Payout for its GoCloudID SaaS platform.
