VoiceVault has just joined the FIDO Alliance as a part of its current mobile identity verification strategy.

“We are delighted to join the FIDO Alliance at this exciting time in our mobile strategy,” Julia Webb, VP of Sales and Marketing at VoiceVault said. “As we launch our mobile voice biometric verification platform, supporting the goals and architecture standards of FIDO was a natural step for VoiceVault.”

VoiceVault also sees its membership in the alliance as a part of a larger effort to raise the profile of voice biometrics as a technology for identity authentication.

The company also recently announced that its voice biometric verification solutions has been verified by Microsoft as having the ability to handle at least 1 billion authentications per year.

Reported previously, VoiceVault, along with GEO Semiconductor and SpeechFX have launched Granta, a home automation solution, supporting voice detection, voice biometrics as well as gesture video analytics.

In addition, last year, the company announced that an unnamed major U.S. cable provider is using its system for authenticating its retail customers over the phone.
