Gesture and touch-less sensing market worth $22.04B by 2020: report

 

The total market for gesture recognition and touch-less sensing is expected to reach $22.04 billion by 2020 at a 30.91% CAGR until 2020.

This, according to newly-published research in the MarketsandMarkets catalogue.

Also from the report, APAC is found to be the fastest growing region for the touchless biometric market, followed by the EMEA region; government applications will dominate the market for facial recognition; 2D camera technology is expected to dominate the smartphone market for the next seven years; and the automotive application for gesture recognition is expected to be commercialized by 2015.
