MorphoAccess reader gets ‘Best of Biometrics’ Award from Security Industry Association

MorphoTrak has announced that its MorphoAccess Sigma Series reader has won the ‘Best of Biometrics’ award at the 2014 New Product Showcase, held by the Security Industry Association at ISC West.

“The MorphoAccess SIGMA is the first device to successfully unite the World’s #1 ranked fingerprint technology with a wide array of recognition factors, videophone features and face capture audit trail,” Gary Jones, Director of Biometric Access & Time Solutions at MorphoTrak said.

According to the company, the MorphoAccess SIGMA reader includes anti-fraud measures, support for NFC, iClass, Prix, MiFare, Miface Plus and DESFire. It’s also IP6 Weather Resistant.

Reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, Morpho launched the MorphoAccess SIGMA series reader last year, in September. According to a report from the company at the time, the MorphoAccess SIGMA series was developmed following Morpho’s acquisition of L-1 Identity Solutions Bioscypt division.
