Biometric authentication firm BioCatch names VP sales EMEA

BioCatch announced it has named of Richard Perry vice president of sales for Europe, Middle-East, and Africa.

Perry joins BioCatch from Vasco Data Security where he served as the regional sales manager and global director for banking, successfully driving sales growth in key markets including the UK and Africa.

He has 15 years of experience in the field of security technology focused businesses, where he has served in a range of roles including senior sales, sales management and global management.

Prior to Vasco Data Security, Perry held strategic sales roles at Thales Group, cloud security firm MessageLabs, and Cable & Wireless/INS.

“We are very excited to have someone with Richard’s extensive global sales experience join the team as we continue to expand into new markets,” said BioCatch CEO Benny Rosenbaum. “It was crucial for us to find someone with an in-depth understanding of the security needs of our customers, specifically in relation to stronger authentication, and we are confident Richard will be an asset in this regard.”

“BioCatch addresses one of the biggest problems facing the authentication industry today, namely, the enormous challenge of validating users without negatively impacting user experience,” said Perry. “When I saw the company’s Behavioral Authentication technology in action, I knew this would make a huge impact on the market.”

Previously reported by BiometricUpdate.com, BioCatch completed a $10 million financing round, which will be used to expand R&D efforts and continue growth in key markets, including the US and Europe.
