Morpho releases multi-finger touchless fingerprint scanner

Morpho (Safran) announced it has officially launched Finger On the Fly, which it calls the world’s fastest contactless four finger scanner.

Using advanced imaging technology, the scanner is able to simultaneously capture four fingerprints from a single wave of the hand.

Finger on the Fly offers high security through multi finger matching, rapid touchless convenience, and high-resolution fingerprint capture in less than one second.

Morpho’s Finger On the Fly is designed to be used for scenarios where high speed enrollment, matching, convenience and security are paramount, such as border control at airports, access control at sensitive and high traffic sites, and flow management.

“We are excited to revolutionize the fingerprint identification solutions market with this new product,” said Thomas Chenevier, director of products and innovation at Morpho. “Our teams have worked tirelessly to this end and we are truly proud of this achievement. As a world leader, Morpho is committed to continually innovate and advance biometric technologies.”

Morpho will be demonstrating Finger On the Fly at the 2014 Global Identity Summit in Tampa, Florida from September 16 to 18.
