Biometrics in Banking expands events into 2015
On the heels of October’s successful “Biometrics in Banking” event, the European Association for Biometrics (EAB) has informally announced its plans for two more events in 2015.
The first event of the year will be held in Zurich, Switzerland sometime in June.
The second one will be held on Friday October 16, following the Biometrics 2015 event in London, UK that week.
“Through its strong network throughout Europe the EAB is setting up a series of ‘Biometrics in Banking’ seminars, making sure we are reaching out to the whole European banking community,” said Max Snijder of the EAB. “Although developments are fast in this sector, still a lot is unknown and needs to be elaborated. Sharing of best practices through the EAB seminars is an important way to do that, as it brings together relevant end users, industries and academia.”
The EAB plans to make this a regular semi-annual event. Other cities being explored for future events include Warsaw, Prague, Madrid and Rome.
