BORDERPOL International Security Meeting: Curtailing Terrorist Travel

Borderpol’s purpose is to support border agencies worldwide to develop fast, safe and secure borders. Perhaps the greatest threat our agency leaders have to better borders is terrorist travel. ISIS is desperate to move foreign nationals into its fold and presenting new and ever-evolving tactics that border agencies and the supporting tech sector need to harness to help curtail the travel. We have world support from the public and private sector for the most cutting edge, helpful and on-point international meeting on the subject.

This event is organized by BORDERPOL North Americas Director and former 9/11 Commission border counsel Janice Kephart, also founder and CEO of the Secure Identity & Biometrics Association (SIBA).

Joel Zlotnick, U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs, Counterfeit Deterrence Laboratory as a supervisory physical scientist and Foreign Service Institute instructor on security documents and counterfeit detection at the Foreign Service Institute

Albina Yakubova, Programme Manager the Organization for Security Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Transnational Threats Department, Border Security and Management Unit, formerly with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime

James Chaparro, former Deputy Under Secretary in the DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis and Director of the Human Smuggling and Trafficking Center as well as Assistant Director for Intelligence, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement

Peter Vincent, former General Counsel for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at the Department of Homeland Security as well as the agency’s Director of International Affairs.
