realtime North America’s biometric authentication software compatible with SAP HANA

realtime North America Inc. announced that its bioLock Fraud Prevention software solution for use with SAP is now compliant with SAP HANA, making it the only natively embedded biometric security system certified by SAP.

SAP HANA is an OLTP/OLAP database management system designed to accommodate both high transaction rates and complex query processing on the same platform.

realtime’s bioLock software system assures true identity management of users gaining access to SAP via biometric authentication of transactional activity.

The certification enables identity management of SAP users using biometrics instead of using traditional passwords, which prevents any potential insider fraud relating to inventory, time and attendance, point-of-sale, finance or IP data loss.

In addition to managing the log-on, the bioLock system enables re-authentication at granular levels within an SAP system.

It also helps ensure compliance with GRC policies and regulatory requirements such as SOX and HIPAA.

“As part of our commitment to the upgrade path chosen by many SAP customers, who are migrating to HANA already or in the near future, we are pleased to confirm this development milestone,” said Thomas Neudenberger, COO of realtime North America Inc.
