Argus Global partners with TBS: Introducing 3D touchless fingerprint readers at IFSEC 2015

Argus Global announced it is partnering with Touchless Biometric Systems and demonstrating its touchless biometric fingerprint readers at IFSEC International, held June 16-18 at ExCeL in London, UK.

TBS’s manufacturing card and biometric readers and door controllers are designed for access control and time and attendance management solutions.

Used by public authorities and businesses around the world, TBS’ products offer three levels of security including 1D – card operated, 2D – biometric which use optical sensors, and now 3D – using touchless technology to read fingerprints.

For each product range, TBS offers a terminal in the form of an interactive touchscreen which enables the device to be used for several different applications, including access control and time and attendance management.

TBS touchless terminals are ideal for locations where hygiene may be an issue. The reader takes a full edge-to-edge fingerprint image, enabling it to function effectively even in environments where users may have poor quality fingerprints.

The terminals are designed for indoor and outdoor use, offer the highest security level, deliver strong identification performance, is suitable for small or large sized user groups, features a personalizable touchscreen, and offers standalone and network capability.

Additionally, since all TBS terminals operate via a Wiegand signal, they can be easily integrated with readers from third party companies, such as Argus Global’s products.

As a result, users do not have to replace the entire system if they’re planning to upgrade their system to a higher level of security, as they can simply add in 3D terminals to control their existing infrastructure.

Previously reported, Touchless Biometric Systems integrated its portfolio of biometric hardware and software with Interflex’s IF-6040 access control software to provide a complete biometric time and attendance management solution.
