Precise Biometrics receives Tactivo order from US Navy

 

Precise Biometrics announced it has received an order valued at 1.1 million SEK (USD$134,000) for Tactivo and Tactivo Guardian Case from the US Navy.

The order is expected to impact the company’s fourth quarter revenues with the full amount, Precise Biometrics.

The US Navy is implementing a mobile solution that provides secure email and browsing capabilities on iOS devices.

Based on the existing Common Access Card (CAC) infrastructure, the mobile solution provides greater overall usability to long standing smart card system.

The order, which has been placed through the company’s’ partner Carahsoft, includes Tactivo with Guardian Case for iPad Air 2.

“Tactivo continues to gain ground in the US Department of Defense,” said Håkan Persson, CEO of Precise Biometrics. “By investing in secure mobile access to information systems and resources, the US Navy increases employee flexibility and efficiency, while ensuring a high level of security by utilizing two-factor authentication.”

Previously reported, Precise Biometrics partnered with Fingerprint Cards (FPC) to integrate their mobile fingerprint recognition technology in Blu’s new smartphone, Pure XL.
