MorphoTrak has launched Identification-as-a-Service solution Morpho Cloud in collaboration with Microsoft, the company announced Wednesday at the Florida International Association for Identification 56th annual Educational Training Conference. Morpho Cloud delivers Morpho’s flagship Biometric Identification Solution, hosted on Microsoft Azure Government to comply with the most stringent security requirements.

The multi-biometric service includes friction ridge biometrics, facial biometrics, and iris recognition. Running Morpho Cloud on Microsoft Azure Government ensures constant peak AFIS technology performance and enables new services like Cloud Disaster Recovery for existing on-premise AFIS customers, the company says. MorphoTrak Vice President Steve Vinsik noted the scale Morpho Cloud provides to meet the operational needs of its customers.

Azure Government also provides security benefits, such as redundant storage in data centers at least 500 miles apart to ensure disaster-proof continuous service delivery and no data loss. The Azure Government cloud platform upholds several US government data security standards, including the FBI’s CJIS Security Policy, and backs Morpho Cloud’s compliance with the strictest standards for data storage, transmission, monitoring, and recovery.

“Microsoft Azure Government was developed to help protect and preserve sensitive government data and citizen privacy,” said Richard Zak, Director of Justice & Public Safety Solutions for Microsoft’s U.S. State & Local Government organization. “Morpho’s federal government and state and local law enforcement customers can be confident in choosing Morpho Cloud to safeguard the function and content of their biometric identification solutions.”

MorphoTrak has been expanding its capacity and solutions portfolio recently. As previously reported, the US Morpho (Safran) subsidiary opened a technology facility in West Virginia, and also launched a video analytics solution in September.
