FacePhi brings facial recognition for mobile banking to Banco del Pacífico in Ecuador

 

FacePhi announced that Banco del Pacífico in Ecuador has signed a three year agreement to use its facial biometrics technology in different channels of the bank to increase client security.

Banco del Pacífico clients can now access and manage their bank accounts on their mobile devices using a selfie.

This is the sixth financial institution that has chosen technology by the South American firm, allowing FacePhi to continue with its growth strategy and goal of being a global leader in facial biometrics for the banking sector.

FacePhi Biometría is a public company listed on the Spanish Alternative Investment Market. The company develops facial recognition software for mobile devices for banking, private security and public sectors.

Previously reported, FacePhi signed a four-year contract with multinational financial services group BBVA Prevision to implement its facial recognition system.
