GlobalPlatform invites ID and authentication professionals to share insights at Global TEE Conference

GlobalPlatform is inviting speakers from the ID and authentication industries to participate in its dedicated trusted execution environment (TEE) conference, taking place in Santa Clara, California on October 13, 2016.

GlobalPlatform is a non-profit, member driven association which defines and develops specifications to facilitate the secure deployment and management of multiple applications on secure chip technology.

The Global TEE Conference ‘GlobalPlatform Presents the TEE: Next Generation Mobile Security for Today and Tomorrow’ will feature high-profile speakers from around the world and across a number of industries discussing use cases and the future of the technology. Service and platform providers, software vendors, device manufacturers and mobile network operators will showcase state-of-the-art device security and demonstrate the evolution of the threat landscape for connected devices and how the TEE addresses these challenges.

The association is accepting speaker proposals from members and non-members until Friday February 19, 2016.

Prospective speakers are invited to send a brief presentation title and synopsis that aligns with one of the following topics:

– Payment and value added services
– Identification and authentication
– Internet of Things
– Premium content protection & digital rights management
– TEE compliance and certification

“A great deal of progress has been made since our last event and 2016 is shaping up to be an extremely busy year with the momentum of the compliance program and the TEE Security Certification Scheme which was launched in 2015,“ commented Kevin Gillick, Executive Director of GlobalPlatform. “The event offers a unique opportunity for both new and knowledgeable TEE stakeholders to come together and discuss the value of the TEE to rapidly evolving industries, the future of the technology and how standardization can save time and money while increasing stability and interoperability. We look forward to revealing more details in the coming weeks and months.”
