Pyramid Systems awarded DHS USCIS contract, welcomes new COO

 

Pyramid Systems, Inc., a software solutions provider for federal government clients, has been awarded the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Joint Engineering Teams – Sustainment (JETS) task order for biometrics as the prime contractor.

The five-year task order is valued by USCIS at potentially $81 million.

Pyramid Systems, and its teaming partner, Five 9 Group, Inc., will provide Agile services for enhancement and operations and maintenance (O&M) of current biometrics applications used for U.S. immigration-related efforts.

“We are honored to be selected as a JETS prime contractor, and look forward to working in collaboration with our customers and other contractor teams as we support a key strategy of USCIS’ mission,” said Sherry Hwang, President and Co-Founder of Pyramid Systems.

Joe Zimmerman new Chief Operating Officer

Joe Zimmerman has joined Pyramid Systems as its Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Zimmerman was most recently the executive vice president at InfoReliance where he supported large, mission critical programs at both the line of business and enterprise levels within the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and National Security arenas.

Jeff Hwang, CEO and Co-Founder of Pyramid Systems commented, “I am pleased to welcome a leader of Joe’s caliber to our executive team. Joe’s expertise and leadership will bring needed strength to our executive management team and significantly expand our capacity to accomplish our growth strategy.”

Zimmerman has previously served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps and holds a Master of Science degree in Systems Management from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.
