SecureIdentity, the digital identity service provided by Morpho (Safran), is now live in the UK.

SecureIdentity is a secure and user friendly mobile application for citizens to authenticate and protect their identities online. Users will be able to create a verified identity account through GOV.UK Verify and once registered, it only takes seconds to prove their identities online.

GOV.UK Verify is the new way to prove who you are online so that users can safely and securely access an increasing range of digital government services, such as viewing their driving licenses or filing their taxes while protecting the privacy of their personal data.

Morpho says there will be neither central storage of information nor any disclosure of personal data without the explicit authorization of the user.

“We are very pleased to join the GOV.UK Verify program and are especially proud to be the first identity provider to go live under the new framework for certified companies,” said Paul Naldrett, managing director Morpho UK. “This is another significant step for Morpho, adding to our extensive portfolio of 55 ID projects around the world.”
