Fujitsu Frontech North America is exhibiting its PalmSecure palm vein biometrics security solutions with its partner SoloInsight at this week’s ISC West 2016 conference and exhibition in Las Vegas, NV.

SoloInsight’s CloudGate platform is a cloud-based physical access control system with multi-modal biometrics technologies to manage the access of employees, visitors, and contractors, while enabling rules-based screening, alerts, reports, surveys, and legal waivers.

“We are delighted to partner with Fujitsu by adding their PalmSecure biometric sensor to the CloudGate access intelligence platform,” said Farhan Masood, CTO of SoloInsight. “This partnership helps power SoloInsight’s IoT solution.”

Fujitsu will also be demonstrating other systems that use PalmSecure sensor technology including: the PalmEntry XS physical access control solution for standalone or enterprise-based legacy networks; the ID-Match two-factor authentication device for multiple applications, and; the Fujitsu V535 tablet on a carrier with embedded PalmSecure sensor designed for mobile banking authentication applications and mobile point of sales solutions.

The Fujitsu PalmSecure biometric palm vein sensors use a near-infrared light to capture a user’s palm vein pattern, generating a unique biometric template that is matched against the palm vein patterns of pre-registered users. The PalmSecure device does not come into contact with the skin, making it extremely hygienic, non-intrusive and unrestricted by external factors such as skin types and conditions. Enrollment for PalmSecure users takes less than one minute and authentication takes less than one second.

In January, it was announced that MedicFP is incorporating Fujitsu’s palm vein biometric solution as part of MedicFP’s Verify product, which is used to confirm healthcare patient’s identity and eligibility before service is rendered or a claim is created.
