Neurotechnology releases automated biometric ID system

Neurotechnology has released the MegaMatcher Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS), a comprehensive system designed for deploying large-scale multi-biometric projects.

MegaMatcher ABIS can rapidly and accurately process multiple complex biometric transactions using any combination of fingerprint, face or iris biometrics.

The system uses the core technology of MegaMatcher SDK and MegaMatcher Accelerator, which have been used in a broad range of national-scale biometric identification projects, including national voter registration, biometric passport and ID, border control and criminal records systems.

The quality of biometric algorithms in the system have been proven in NIST evaluation programs including FPVTE 2012, MINEX III and IREX IV.

MegaMatcher ABIS provides new features and functions required for large projects, including a set of modules for system administration, transaction management, image processing and adjudication of suspicious duplicate cases. These new capabilities help to define system user roles and facilitate accurate biometric data flow.

The system provides the same high availability, fault tolerance, scalability, interoperability and support for biometric standards as MegaMatcher SDK and MegaMatcher Accelerator. All modules can be fully customized based on the customer and project needs.

“We are pleased to offer to our customers a complete Automated Biometric Identification System to integrate into their solutions for identity management,” said Antonello Mincone, business development manager for Neurotechnology. “After years of experience working with the major system integrators in the industry, we have greatly expanded our knowledge of the functionality required in large scale biometric projects. We have put this know-how into MegaMatcher ABIS, a product that makes it easier than ever for integrators to deploy complex multi-biometric solutions.”

The fully expandable MegaMatcher ABIS can communicate with all other aspects of identity management solutions, including enrollment and personalization applications. As a result, integrators can bring their projects to fruition seamlessly and quickly.

MegaMatcher ABIS and the complete Neurotechnology biometric product line are now available through Neurotechnology or from its global distributors.

Previously reported, SecuEra Technologies signed a distribution agreement with Neurotechnology to sell Neurotechnology’s complete line of MINEX III/FIPS 201/PIV certified products for multimodal biometric projects including fingerprint, face, iris, palm print and speaker identification and authentication.
