InCadence wins $12.6M State Department contract

The U.S. Department of State, Office of Acquisition Management, has awarded a contract to InCadence Strategic Solutions for the provision of operational support for the implementation of the Tactical High-Threat Operational Response (THOR) system in support of the Office of the Chief Technology Officer within the Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS/EX/CTO).

The THOR system performs multimodal biometric collection and identification using fingerprints, iris, and facial recognition in order to provide enhanced security and access control to Department of State facilities. The contract is for a base year and four option years.

“InCadence is excited to support the State Department Bureau of Diplomatic Security with biometric technology to help keep our men and women serving at America’s diplomatic posts worldwide safer. This work is another demonstration that InCadence’s people and technologies continue to lead the way with key Federal Government customers, providing cutting edge biometrics, identity management, and intelligence services and solutions,” said Anthony Iasso, President of InCadence.

Back in June, InCadence announced that the company was awarded a prime contract to provide a mobile biometrics solution to the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services Division, Global Initiatives Unit (FBI CJIS GIU).
