EyeVerify to continue to expand its trusted identity solutions from base in Kansas City

EyeVerify is building on its vision of providing trusted identity solutions to hundreds of millions of people around the globe, all from its headquarters in Kansas City.

Just last month, Ant Financial Services Group, the operator of Alipay, acquired EyeVerify.

According to a company statement, the months ahead will see the eyeprint authentication company expand its relationship with the University of Missouri Kansas City, where Eyeprint ID technology was originally developed, and draw from the extensive local talent pool of engineers and scientists.

In just two years, more than 45 financial institutions have launched Eyeprint ID, and the technology is used by millions of end users. EyeVerify will continue to target financial institutions directly, as well as provide Eyeprint ID to Ant Financial’s other businesses.

EyeVerify has doubled its employees in the last 18 months and over the next 18 months, the company will increase its team significantly with the expectation for exponential user growth to continue. EyeVerify will also welcome several engineers from Ant Financial’s team in China to train with and support the EyeVerify team. EyeVerify is also giving all employees the opportunity to travel to Hangzhou later this month to attend the Ant Financial all-employee meeting, participate in training sessions there, and experience Chinese culture.

Toby Rush, EyeVerify CEO and Founder, commented, “As a center for technology and entrepreneurship, with organizations like UMKC, Pipeline KC and the Kauffman Foundation, Kansas City offers an exceptional base of operations to support that mission.”
