Fingerprint Cards announce new deployments of FPC fingerprint sensors

 

Fingerprint Cards has revealed new deployments of its FPC touch fingerprint sensors.

The Honor 8 Smart features touch fingerprint sensor FPC1025 and the Oppo A59s features touch fingerprint sensor FPC1245.

The Oppo A59s also features Precise Biometrics’ algorithm solution for fingerprint recognition in mobile devices, Precise BioMatch Mobile.

Additionally, Fingerprint Cards’ touch sensor FPC1145 has been deployed in the recently launched SK telecom smartphone, Luna S.

SK telecom, a new customer of Fingerprint Cards, is the number one network operator in South Korea.

According to a company statement, touch sensor FPC1145 offers 3D pixel sensing technology that reads virtually any finger, either dry or wet. Its elongated shape enables flexible design integrations with high performance, maximizing security and speed for the end user.

“We are proud to be selected by SK telecom to supply our FPC1145 in their new Luna S smartphone. SK telecom has got extensive experience in mobile network technology and service and are rapidly moving beyond the Korean market to become a global Information and communication technology leader. This is their first launch featuring our products”, said Christian Fredrikson, CEO of Fingerprint Cards.
