FPC releases fingerprint biometric module for developers

Fingerprints Cards (FPC) has released its Fingerprints Biometric Module DevKit, a complete biometric system that is designed to help developers and product creators to embed FPC’s fingerprint biometric technology into various products and applications.

The Fingerprints Biometric Module DevKit provides designers with all the hardware and software they need to develop and prototype their product’s biometric interface.

Price at US$999.00, the Fingerprints Biometric Module DevKit includes a fingerprint sensor, a standalone processor and a well proven algorithm.

On its website, FPC said the developer fingerprint module provides “superior image quality, extreme durability and industry leading performance,” all without any other components required.

Once users connect the fingerprint board to an USB port, they can start learning how biometrics can make their technology interact natively with their users.

Previously reported, Fingerprint Cards has been announced the winner in Deloitte’s annual Sweden Technology Fast 50, a cross-industry ranking of technology companies in Sweden. Fingerprint Cards took first place with a growth rate of 28,126%. The average growth among the companies ranked this year was 1,408%.
