Gulf Bank acknowledged for its biometrics-secured mobile banking app
Kuwait’s Gulf Bank has picked up two regional World Finance Digital Banking Awards for Best Mobile Banking App and Best Digital Bank.
These awards highlight those banks and organizations that have altered their strategies and perfected the balance between technology, finance and customer service. The latest issue of World Finance has more information about all the winners of its 2016 Digital Banking Awards.
Last May, Daon revealed that Gulf Bank selected its IdentityX platform to provide biometric authentication within the bank’s mobile banking application. The IdentityX platform is designed to allow Daon customers to easily add new biometrics as they become commercially available. This was the first deployment of the solution in the Middle East.
At the time, César González-Bueno, Gulf Bank’s CEO commented, “By working with Daon, we were able to leverage cutting-edge technology with global best practices to provide our customers with an enhanced mobile banking experience. Our customers can now login with biometrics using their fingerprint touch id and ‘Blinking to Bank’ facial recognition, from anywhere in the world, and perform a wide array of banking transactions efficiently and securely.”
Daon acknowledged in a recent company statement that it is proud to be a part of this innovative solution to provide secure, convenient digital services for Gulf Bank’s customer base.
