Sensory updates multimodal biometric solution with broader mobile OS support

Sensory has released version 3 of TrulySecure, which marks the second major update to the company’s FIDO Certified multimodal biometric authentication technology.

TrulySecure 3.0 securely recognizes enrolled users through a combination of face and voice biometric recognition technologies in less than a second.

The solution differentiates individuals at a 99.999 percent accuracy rate without requiring any expensive biometric scanners.

“We continually improve the security and accuracy offered by TrulySecure to ensure that users are presented with a consistently better user experience, and that their apps and data are safe from prying eyes,” said Todd Mozer, CEO of Sensory. “In the latest release of TrulySecure, we have updated our deep learning convolutional neural nets to improve accuracy more than 50 percent and substantially decrease the ability to spoof with photos or videos.”

TrulySecure 3.0 expands on Sensory’s combined use of face and voice biometrics recognition by improving recognition of enrolled users, particularly in challenging scenarios.

Unlike competing face recognition solutions that require reduced user security to compensate for the false rejects associated with being unable to recognize users while wearing glasses, TrulySecure’s embedded deep learning algorithms are able to better recognize users when a portion of the user’s face is obstructed by accessories.

TrulySecure’s combination of face and voice biometric recognition technologies in a single security solution makes it nearly impossible for an imposter to access a protected device or app.

Sensory has also improved its liveness detection algorithms, preventing people from spoofing the facial recognition algorithms with photos or video of the enrolled user. TrulySecure also requires both the user’s face and voice be authenticated.

With a range of applications including banking, enterprise, mobile payment, password manager and retail apps, TrulySecure offers developers SDKs and FIDO-compliant authentication solutions for both Android and iOS.

Sensory has ported its AppLock app UX into the TrulySecure SDK for Android and iOS devices, providing customers with a streamlined reference UI to use as-is or alter for use within their own apps.

The latest TrulySecure SDK provides Android applications with an added layer of security offered by Android Key Store encryption to further protect the biometric data while not in use by the system.

Android users can download Sensory’s advanced face and voice biometrics technologies from the Google Play store by searching for “AppLock by Sensory”.

Previously reported, Sensory released version 5.0 of its TrulyHandsfree speech recognition system, which includes significant updates to the embedded AI to significantly increase its performance and accuracy while staying small and low power.
