FPC sponsoring Arrow Electronics IoT app design contest

Fingerprint Cards (FPC) is sponsoring Chinese electronic distributor Arrow Electronics’ “IoT Everywhere!” design innovation contest, which encourages engineers and developers to design Internet of Everything applications for the future.

Arrow Electronics has partnered with IBM and IndieGoGo in mainland China to organize the contest, which invites anyone with creative ideas about IoT design to participate.

Fifty finalists will be provided with the necessary elements from designated manufacturers to bring their design ideas to fruition.

The top winner will receive $10,000 in prize money and support from Indiegogo to make their ideas more marketable and benefit more people.

The first runner-up will receive $5,000 in prize money, the second runner-up will receive $3,000, and the third runner-up will receive IndieGoGo support.

Arrow Electronics, IBM and various component suppliers will provide senior technical guidance to contestants, where they will be able to freely exchange their creative and technical ideas.

Previously reported, AGM Mobile recently launched its AGM X1 mobile device featuring fingerprint technology from Precise Biometrics and Fingerprint Cards.
