Precise Biometrics’ algorithm solution integrated in Qualcomm ultrasonic fingerprint sensors

Precise BioMatch Mobile, an algorithm solution for secure fingerprint recognition in smartphones and tablets, has been integrated in Qualcomm Fingerprint Sensors, the company’s next-generation ultrasonic fingerprint solutions, introduced last week at the Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2017.

The new line of fingerprint solutions includes new and improved features not included in the previous generation of Qualcomm Snapdragon Sense ID fingerprint technology, including sensors for display, glass and metal, detection of directional gestures, underwater fingerprint match and device wake-up. It also marks the first commercially announced integrated ultrasonic-based mobile solution to detect heartbeat and blood flow for improved mobile authentication experiences.

The sensor integration comes as a result of the commercial software license and distribution agreement Precise Biometrics entered with Qualcomm Technologies for the licensing of Precise BioMatch Mobile in July 2016.
