Biometric Signature ID wins ID verification services contract for online mortgage courses

Biometric Signature ID has been awarded a three year contract to provide ID verification services for 90,000 Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) taking online courses and certifications.

The patented gesture biometric ID verification solution, BioSig-ID, will be integrated into multiple learning management systems to improve user ID authentication for brokers and those individuals involved in the mortgage loan business. BioSig-ID is also designed to identify suspicious user behaviors.

BioSig-ID is a software-only gesture biometric ID solution designed to quickly and accurately authenticate users with a mouse, finger, or stylus. BioSig-ID uses a multi-factor authentication solution that requires no additional hardware to purchase and can be used on any mobile or tablet device, or PC platform.

“Our disruptive technology ensures that users who enroll in a course are the same individuals completing the work and makes it near impossible for someone who isn’t the registered user to gain access,” explains Jeff Maynard, president and CEO of Biometric Signature ID. “With BioSig-ID we’re able to authenticate registered users in seconds by analyzing their drawing patterns; thereby eliminating any possibility of sharing credentials and fraud.”

“Unlike other biometrics, BioSig-ID collects a behavior rather than a body part or image, making it less intrusive and more readily accepted by consumers,” continued Maynard. “How you draw a password using your finger or mouse on your PC, tablet or mobile device is unique and the patterns tell us exactly if you are the registered user. With over 10 million uses worldwide we have established that drawing only four characters or letters is enough to verify a legitimate user from an imposter 99.97% of the time. In fact our technology is so successful, that the White House selected BioSig-ID for its NSTIC pilot program due to the ease of use, patented technology and accuracy rates which exceed all federal guidelines.”

Earlier this month, Biometric Signature ID added six new team members bringing with them years of experience from a variety of backgrounds.
