MTRIX to sell NEXT Biometrics line of USB fingerprint peripherals

NEXT Biometrics Group and MTRIX, a German distributor of biometric authentication solutions, have signed a distribution agreement covering Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The agreement will see MTRIX sell the NEXT line of USB fingerprint peripherals, Oyster and Scallop, to its wide base of customers and partners targeting banking, insurance, point-of-sale and healthcare markets.

“NEXT Biometrics has established itself as a leader in high performance, cost efficient fingerprint authentication. We are excited to be able to offer NEXT solutions for our broad customer base,” commented Malte Kahrs, CEO of MTRIX GmbH.

“By this agreement, NEXT will be able to leverage MTRIX’s long-standing reputation as an authentication solution expert in the region,” added NEXT Biometrics CEO Ritu Favre. “We are excited to scale and grow our business of USB fingerprint scanners offered to MTRIX’s established range of quality customers.”

In other company news, WAG Magazine, a New York monthly lifestyle magazine, recently featured NEXT CEO Ritu Favre, detailing how she leads NEXT and also encourages girls to study and young women to pursue careers in the opportunity-rich traditionally male-dominated science, technology, engineering and math, called STEM.
