Security monitoring center selects ievo biometric access control solution

A UK security firm has implemented ievo fingerprint readers at its alarm and CCTV operation center.

Cougar Monitoring provides live security surveillance and rapid deployment of mobile response units and notification to emergency services nationwide.

The solution combined CPNI approved ievo fingerprint readers with the Paxton Net2 access control system to provide full biometric access control. ievo ultimate readers are used at external access points and ievo micro units at internal access control points. ievo desktop registration units are kept onsite for new registrations.

“We are an NSI category 2 ARC/RVRC company so our security policy and regulations require the most secure solutions,” explained Eric Roberts, CEO of Cougar Monitoring. “The ievo biometric readers enable us to restrict access in the right areas and lock down access to unauthorised areas.”

Just last month, Network Information Technology (NIT), an Ingram Micro company, was named the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) distributor of ievo’s biometric recognition products.
