BIO-key line of biometric locks now available to U.S. consumers

The BIO-key line of TouchLock biometric and Bluetooth enabled padlocks and bicycle locks is now available for purchase in the U.S. through the company’s newly developed ecommerce website, Amazon.com and, over the coming weeks and months, in select stores via established retail and distribution partners.

“Following initial sales in Asia, we are pleased to make our TouchLock Line – named the ‘next evolution of padlocks’ – directly available to consumers in the United States,” explained Scott Mahnken, VP Marketing, BIO-key. “We have received strong interest in the TouchLock line since debuting prototypes at CES 2017, and we anticipate strong customer demand.”

Products currently available include: a luggage lock that meets TSA travel lock standards; a compact lock for smaller portable items such as a purse or briefcase; a bike lock, and; a bluetooth enabled padlock.

“We are significantly expanding our retail sales footprint, including the launch of BIO-key’s own e-commerce website and Amazon to complement our distribution efforts in both traditional and online channels over the coming months,” Mahnken added. “We will continue to add new TouchLock products in different configurations and colors through the balance of the year”.

Earlier this month it was revealed that BIO-key’s TouchLock TSA luggage padlock features an IDEX fingerprint sensor.
