Fingerprint Cards technology featured in new notebooks from Samsung, NEC

NEC’s new 2018 LAVIE Note Mobile notebook and the new Samsung Notebook Spin feature the Fingerprint Cards FPC1145 fingerprint sensor to quickly authenticate users on the built-in Windows Hello biometric authentication platform.

According to a company statement, FPC1145 offers excellent 3D pixel-sensing technology that reads virtually any finger, dry or wet. Maintaining the industry’s lowest power consumption, the elongated form of sensor allows 360-degree rotation of the finger and sensitivity that enables maximum performance without compromising on design aesthetics or user experience.

Fingerprint Cards will host a conference call this upcoming Friday to review its fourth quarter and 2017 year-end results.
