BioSec to use Fujitsu processors in palm vein products

BioSec Group will use Fujitsu micro PCs to improve the flexibility of its biometric physical access control systems, starting in May, Global Security Mag reports.

The micro PCs new quad-core processor from Fujitsu will enable BioSec’s palm vein recognition systems to deliver 1:n identification with even larger databases in only one second, while keeping customer cost low, according to the report. BioSec products will also be offered with an increased number of ports, allowing greater flexibility for integrations.

BioSec and Fujitsu announced a partnership last year to provide palm vein recognition technology to the EMEIA region. In February, BioSec released a video game based on its palm recognition technology.
