ID R&D selected for Plug and Play accelerator program

Startup ID R&D has announced that it has been selected to join the accelerator program for Plug and Play’s Fintech Batch (Batch7). The selection brings the company and its biometric technology for conversational interfaces into a unique ecosystem of startups, enterprises, and investors.

Plug and Play (PnP) is a leading accelerator which reviewed more than 5,500 startups from around the world, and accepted 111 into its six programs, including 25 in the Fintech Batch.

“Plug and Play has been working with startups for twelve years. Our goal is to match startups to corporations based on their interests to create mutually beneficial partnerships that embody the Plug and Play spirit of open innovation. This first batch of 2018 is already exceeding expectations,” says Saeed Amidi, Founder and CEO of Plug and Play. “We are excited to welcome these new companies into our ecosystem and make this the most successful year yet.”

ID R&D provides proprietary voice, behavioral, and anti-spoofing biometric engines and multi-modal authentication products. The company has developed a suite of AI-based biometric capabilities for secure and convenient communications between enterprises and end-users.

Its SafeChat product, which launched in October, combines face biometrics with continuous authentication of voice and typing input for interactions with chatbots and virtual assistants, enabling monetary transactions and the sharing of sensitive information.
