ievo fingerprint readers integrated with Herongrange security systems

Herongrange, a UK-based security system provider for the building and construction industry, has integrated fingerprint readers designed and manufactured by ievo with their own security access system. This integration offers Herongrange clients a multi-layer security service to meet the needs of site access and workforce management.

ievo says its CPNI approved fingerprint readers have proved popular with security equipment specifiers, particularly in the construction sector, due to their robust nature and IP65 certification. The biometrics-based solution can reduce unauthorized access to sites and fraudulent time recording that can happen with traditional PIN or card controlled systems.

Herongrange also works with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) so that the ievo readers integrated into the access control software can identify construction workers who need to update certification qualifications and even bar access to those whose qualifications have lapsed. The data provided by the fingerprint reader also provides site managers reliable information on exactly who is on site at any one time.
