Nok Nok Labs has announced that NTT DATA will offer its FIDO-certified Nok Nok S3 Authentication Suite under the terms of a new reseller partnership.

The S3 Suite will be the cornerstone of NTT DATA’s new biometric-centric systems integration offering, which the company forecasts will produce 1 billion yen (over US$8 million) in sales by 2020, according to the announcement. NTT DATA will also develop new solutions for the mobile network operator, financial services, and public sector markets with Nok Nok Labs’ authentication technologies.

S3 Suite will give NTT DATA customers a flexible, extensible, scalable and secure authentication platform which integrates seamlessly with new technologies and has been shown to reduce password resets by 60 percent.

“NTT DATA is a worldwide leader in IT services and we will work closely with them to bring secure, scalable, modern authentication to customers around the globe,” said Phillip Dunkelberger, President and CEO of Nok Nok Labs. “Providing high assurance of customer identity is a cornerstone of modern security architecture. Together, Nok Nok Labs and NTT DATA will deliver these benefits through next-generation authentication technology.”

“Nok Nok Labs has shown that they are skilled in building robust, advanced authentication technology and their vision for eliminating the need for usernames and passwords and delivering better privacy, security and a more seamless customer experience is one we think is very exciting,” said Katsufumi Fukunishi, Head of Mobile Business at NTT DATA. “We look forward to leveraging a standards-based approach to help our customers future-proof their authentication investments in existing and emerging fields, such as the Internet of Things (IoT).”
