Zetes marks ID4Africa with whitepaper on identity projects

Zetes is marking its participation in ID4Africa 2018 as a platinum sponsor by publishing a whitepaper on initiating large scale identity projects.

The whitepaper, titled “At the centre of the population register: issues, analysis, and approach,” is intended to help guide the implementation of a population register as a cornerstone of an efficient identification programme which improves administrative management and achieves economies of scale.

The company will also participate in a pair of informational sessions on “Population register: The Necessary First Step” and “Improving Governance using the Population Register as Authentic Source” during the ID4Africa.

“Zetes has been participating in the ID4Africa conferences since they began, and is a staunch supporter of this movement,” says Ronny Depoortere, Senior VP of the People ID Division of Zetes. “To deal with the major issues involved in identifying Africa’s populations, all the stakeholders, starting with the governments, need this type of platform where they can discuss the issues and share information about best practices. The previous meetings were a big success, and we feel confident about the initiative’s continued growth potential.”

Biometric Update will serve as the Official Journalist for ID4Africa 2018, taking place April 24 to 26 in Abuja, Nigeria.
