FPC fingerprint sensors featured in cryptocurrency wallet, smart suitcase

Swedish biometrics firm Fingerprint Cards announced today two new deployments of its fingerprint sensor technology.

SCTECHONE’s new biometrics-based cryptocurrency hardware wallet Touch xWallet is FIDO certified and combines a mobile app and a physical card, which features an FPC1300-series fingerprint sensor for authentication, enabling users to check cryptocurrency information easily through an LCD on the wallet card.

The product is scheduled to be released within the first half of the year.

Fingerprint Cards also revealed that it is providing the touch sensor for the new smart suitcase by Chinese brand 90FUN. 90FUN is an Xiaomi ecosystem partner.
